Do you have confidence in the power of the gospel to create and enable the church to be a flourishing community? Jesus Christ builds His church. He created the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit, and He continues to sanctify and edify the church until one day He will present the church to Himself as His bride. Then spotless and blameless, she/we will rejoice in her husband for all eternity.
In Romans 15:14-21, Paul expresses his confidence in the gospel to meet every need of the church. He is confident that the gospel will be the means of fulfilling his ministry among the Gentiles, and he sets before the church in Rome his confidence in the gospel mission to Spain.
