Sunday Worship

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Service Theme
We gather to worship the LORD Who brings us home.

Preparing Our Hearts for Worship

Written in the time of the judges, Ruth is an oasis in a spiritual desert when there was no king in Israel and everyone did what was right in his own eyes, Judges 21:25. The rejection of God’s authority and embracing outrageous moral reasoning marked those days. But God never retreats from his redemptive goals in human history. The story of Ruth encourages each of us to remember that Christ is My Redeemer.

As you prepare your heart for worship, read Ruth, chapter 1. Pray the following prayer and make it your own by completing it with your personal request for spiritual renewal:

Lord, bring me home. I have wandered so far away, following my own wisdom, and doing what is right in my own eyes. My idolatrous choices led to death. But you alone are My Redeemer. You call me to return from this wilderness to the House of Bread. Turn me, Lord, and I will return. You are better than all this world has to offer. Forgive me and bring me back to the place of promise and praise. I especially ask that…
In the name of Jesus, My Redeemer, Amen.
